Super Artist - Abby

Abby

I have recently graduated from university with a Fine Art and Illustration degree, and I like to spend my free time creating digital illustrations and volunteering for Supershoes.

“I volunteer for Supershoes because it’s rewarding to use my love of art to give the children something they otherwise wouldn’t have. Seeing their happy faces at the end of the painting process makes it worth it and reminds you that you’re doing something good for someone who truly deserves it.”

Super Artist - Aimee

Aimee

My name is Aimee and I have been painting for Supershoes for a long while now. I have 3 children and work in my local hospital pharmacy.

“I love to paint for Supershoes to do what I can to help the charity using my artwork. I love the smiles we can bring to some absolutely wonderful children and young adults.”

Super Artist - Alana

Alana

I am an arty person, and I just love creating. Making, painting or tattooing!

“When I saw an opportunity to paint for Supershoes it was a way I could genuinely make a difference in a direct way with my time and abilities. The charity is so inspiring and I wanted to be on the team.”

Super Artist - Alison

Alison

Alison joined the Supershoes team after being made unemployed from a job she loved. She wanted something to fill her time, and wanted to push herself. Alison does a lot of creative crafts but doesn't consider herself artistic!

“I started painting Supershoes as a challenge to myself and I feel like I've learned so much! I paint at home and also whenever I have a peaceful (don't say the "q" word!) shift at work - I will happily be painting away inbetween taking 999 calls for the ambulance service. Luckily for me they don't mind, as long as I'm concentrating on the calls when they come in. I love getting feedback from the children we paint for - the first pair I painted made me cry in frustration, but it was all worth it when I saw a picture of the recipient grinning ear to ear.”

Super Artist - Alison

Alison

Originally a face painter and body artist who met Sarah right at the start of SuperShoes. She loves the challenge of creating a design that works on an irregular shape - perfect for Supershoes! Over the years she has become more involved and now looks after the team of Super Artists too.

“The best part of being involved with Supershoes is the smile on each child’s face when they receive something that’s been made just for them”

Super Artist - Amanda

Amanda

A busy mum of four, an award winning tattoo artist and all-round crafter.

“If I can help to put a smile on a child's face and just let them be a child for a moment, through all they must endure then I am blessed and honoured to do so.”

Super Artist - Amy

Amy

Amy started painting Supershoes as a personal project after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia (chronic pain and fatigue)

“I love painting the shoes and as a mum of two myself, I'm now totally addicted to putting smiles on these children's faces!”
