Julian Smith
Julian’s latest challenge was the New Forest Half Marathon, 10k & 5k as part of the run for mum team which consisted of 50 runners - in memory of his Mum.
They wanted to donate £100 of their sponsorship to Supershoes to help create a pair of shoes for 2 children.
Julian has also participated in the Dopeyo challenge at the Tokyo Marathon!! Julian said “It was an incredible experience in Tokyo. The crowds were brilliant…… they were handing out drinks, sweets, fruit and cheered us along the entire route!!” Julian has completed numerous running events to support Supershoes, including The Dopey Challenge which took place over 4 days, in Florida and consisted of a 5k, 10k, Half Marathon and marathon, a mammoth 48.6 miles in total….Plus a similar challenge called The Star Wars Rebel Challenge where he ran 5k, 10k & a Half Marathon over 3 days.
There is no stopping Super-sponsor Julian he has also participated in the Great Birmingham Run and is going to run in the Tokyo Marathon in February 2022.
Julian and his incredible football team (New Milton Eagles) raised a further £100 for Supershoes also!
In October 2022, Julian ran the Marine Corps Marathon and held a sweepstake to guess his finish time, raising a further £200 for Supershoes! Thanks Julian - it makes us weary just to think of this. Awesome job!
In October 2023, and this is hard to take in, Julian reached an outstanding total of 100 marathons. We thank you so much for your continuing support, Julian. You certainly are a Super achiever!
