Sponsors

Every pair of Supershoes is funded by donations from kind sponsors, who come in all shapes and sizes…..

From parents of previous recipients who want to ‘pay forward’ the gift of Supershoes, to fundarisers who have organised an event of some description in order to make a donation. We receive one-off payments from some and regular sponsorship from others. Some want to remain anonymous, whilst others are happy to share their donation and/or story.

Here are some of those we are able to share with you.

Rebecca Marie Academy of Dance

We chose Supershoes as a charity to fundraise for because of our beautiful brave dancer Sophia. Sophia was diagnosed with cancer last year. She has been so strong and stayed so positive throughout the toughest of times. I am so happy to say she has finished her chemotherapy and is in recovery. Sophia has written a little about why she chose Supershoes and we are so thankful to the charity for making such a highlight for her during a really tough year. “At the end of last year, I was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer. It has been the most challenging experience of my life, but I am blessed to say that I have now finished treatment and am on the road to recovery. During this difficult journey, one of the amazing cancer charities that supported my family and I was Supershoes. Supershoes is a wonderful organization that creates custom Converse shoes for young people undergoing cancer treatment. These unique shoes have such a positive impact on children who are facing some of the toughest times of their lives. They allow young patients to embrace their individuality and passions by incorporating them into the shoe design. Just as importantly, these shoes encourage children to stay active during their treatment, providing a much-needed incentive to go out and wear them. This is no small feat during such a challenging period. During my treatment, I was lucky enough to participate in a research project called ‘FortEe,’ which studied the benefits of keeping young cancer patients physically active. Therefore I can wholeheartedly attest to the fact that staying active in these times has indisputably positive impacts on both mental and physical wellbeing! Supershoes help young patients maintain a sense of normality which is invaluable. They also helped me share my story online, and the joy they bring to the faces of these incredibly strong patients is priceless. Supershoes is a truly beautiful charity that makes a significant difference in the lives of young cancer patients”

 Sponsor - Redway Networks

Redway Networks

We are delighted to have Redway Networks, a local Milton Keynes based IT & wireless specialist company, join us as a Super Sponsor, kindly donating a range of IT equipment to our office. Redway Networks made contact with us after seeing our social media appeal for IT equipment. Nick Gross, Director, had been aware of our charity as his daughter’s friend was diagnosed with Leukaemia and had received a gift of personalised Converse trainers from Supershoes. Therefore, when Nick saw that we were looking for IT equipment for our offices he immediately made contact and wanted to help. Our equipment was very out-dated and therefore processes were slow and taking our volunteers much longer than necessary. Redway Networks kindly donated 4 x brand new PC’s, 8 x 24” LCD monitors and a printer for our office. We are so pleased with the equipment and the twin screens have been a game changer, allowing us to use our time for Supershoes much more efficiently. Thank you to Redway Networks! Supershoes Founder, Sarah White said, “The very kind and generous donation of brand new equipment, that Redway have made, is truly wonderful and has already made a significant impact . Our team of volunteers were struggling with out of date PC’s that were slowing down the efforts to reach brave children with the gift of Supershoes. We simply can’t thank Redway enough.”
