Super Abigail’s Journey
In June 2019, Super Abigail was diagnosed with metastatic Ewings Sarcoma and began treatment soon after including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. The treatment often makes Super Abigail very unwell, meaning she has to return to hospital in between sessions to have blood transfusions. She misses her dog Teddy terribly, which meant when she received her Supershoes, Super Abigail was thrilled when she saw Teddy’s fluffy, white face on them!
Super Abigail’s Diagnosis
Around 30-40 children are diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in the UK each year. It usually occurs in the teenage years and is more prevalent in boys. Find out more about Ewings Sarcoma
The Supershoes
“We can’t thank you enough for bringing the biggest smile to our daughter Abigail’s face. She ended up back in hospital again recently due to becoming unwell after chemotherapy. She misses her little dog Teddy so much and did ask that he could go on her Supershoes. They arrived on the ward yesterday thanks to your amazing selves and our wonderful Clic Sargent social worker. Abigail was over the moon!”
