Super Ffion’s Journey
Ffion was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June 2020, just a week after her third birthday . Just after her diagnosis she developed an infection in her blood that attached to her central line and caused sepsis and had to spend 2 weeks in intensive care followed by surgery and a skin graft to replace the septic area.
There is no stopping this Super brave little girl though, as Ffion has had to re-learn how to sit, crawl and walk and now she is running around!
Ffion has spent majority of her time in hospital over the last year and a lot of it has been in isolation. Ffion will need years of reconstruction with plastic surgery to repair and replace what was lost due to sepsis but that will be after her treatment for leukemia is finished.
