Super Rachael’s Journey
Super Rachael was born just a few days early, but doctors immediately knew something was very wrong. Investigations revealed multiple tumours in Rachael’s abdomen and further tumours all over her body, attached to vital organs. Infantile Myofibromatosis was diagnosed, which is very rare and Rachael’s parents were given the opportunity to participate in a chemotherapy research dosing study. Rachael has responded well to treatment so far, with specially tailored treatment. Rachael’s mummy says, “We are so proud of how well she has done and what a hopeful case study she has provided – helping to advance medical understanding. The future is uncertain and Rachael will be an oncology patient for life but we know we are incredibly lucky.”

The Supershoes
Bluey and Bingo and stars plus musical notes, as Rachael loves listening to music, were the important things to include on Rachael’s tiny shoes. Super Artist Claire made a superb job of them. After receiving her Supershoes, we received this message from Rachael’s mummy: “After 18 months of life saving chemotherapy and too many surgeries (including 2 major abdominal ones which have made learning to walk even more tricky), Rachael is ready to dance through Summer in her new Bluey supershoes! She loves them!…I think she will be sleeping in them!”
