Super Rian’s Journey
In 2023, Rian’s painful, swollen hand was x-rayed, and then an MRI revealed a tumour around his 4th metacarpal, which proved to be Rhabdomyosarcoma. Rian is now undergoing 27 weeks of intensive chemotherapy, followed by a planned surgery and then radiotherapy. And still, he manages a big smile with his Supershoes! What a trooper.
Super Rian’s Diagnosis
Rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common form of soft tissue sarcoma in children. It affects around 60 children each year in the UK. Find out more about Rhabdomyosarcoma
The Supershoes
Rian definitely needed a boost, and his Supershoes were delivered to him following a 3-day stay in hospital for chemotherapy. As you can see, he was delighted with Super Artist Laura’s creation, featuring Super Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Cuphead and Mugman, from his favourite games.
