Super Lena’s Journey
After suffering sickness, weight loss and lack of energy, Super Lena was diagnosed with a brain tumour on her pituitary gland, which has also resulted in Diabetes Insipidus. Lena underwent an intensive course of chemotherapy followed by Proton Beam therapy. Her treatment centre is a long way from her home, so she and her family had to move temporarily to be together during this time. Lena’s support worker at Young Lives Vs Cancer referred her for a pair of Supershoes because she has been such a Super brave girl.

The Supershoes
Lena and her dad had ideas for a design for her Supershoes, and sent a mood board to Supershoes HQ. We passed the ideas to Super Artist Amy, The Lions Club sent us the funding, and the smile on Lena’s face says it all! Her dad says, “They’re WAY cooler than we ever thought possible. She’s genuinely thrilled to bits.” We’re so glad you love them, Lena! Sending you lots of love.
