Super Hugo’s Journey
At not even three years old, Hugo has had a very challenging time since September 2023. When he crashed in hospital, a large tumour at the base of his brain was discovered. Two major surgeries later, and with 90% of the tumour removed, Hugo spent a month in ITU, and faced chemotherapy until he was old enough for radiotherapy. After a 14-week cycle of chemo, the tumour had spread elsewhere and the decision was made to bring Hugo home, to make his time more comfortable, and enable his family, including his devoted older brother to be with him as much as possible.
Throughout his short life, Hugo has been, to quote Mum Di, ” a light to everyone who knows him. He makes everything easy, he has never made difficulty for anyone, all his procedures, all the poking and prodding, he makes everyone’s lives easy and puts smiles on faces as he’s going. I just want to wrap him up and keep him safe, make his life as easy as can be for as long as possible.”
Our hearts and huge love go out to you, Super Hugo, and your devoted family.

The Supershoes
Hugo’s wish was for Spidey and friends, dinosaurs, bananas and a cactus to feature on his Supershoes. Mum Di told us, “We are very impressed and equally grateful for the art work Aimee came up with for his shoes. Amazing, thank you.”
Happy to make that lovely face smile, Hugo!
