Super Sophia’s Journey
Super Sophia is the very special recipient of our 7000th pair of Supershoes, which were presented to her at Supershoes HQ, by Super Artist Amanda and CEO Sarah White. This talented musician, singer and ballet dancer has bravely battled through some very challenging treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which saw her in hospital for Christmas. She has remained calm, positive and a real trooper throughout the last few months, and her family is immensely proud of her, and so are we! Sophia will soon be embarking on an A level course which she hopes will lead to a career helping other people with cancer, in the immunotherapy/personalised treatment field. We wish you all the best in following your dreams, Sophia!
Super Sophia’s Diagnosis
Around 60 children each year receives a diagnosis of Hodgkin Lymphoma (HL), in the UK. While it can affect children of all ages, it occurs more often in the 10-14 year age group, affecting more boys than girls. Find out more about Hodgkin Lymphoma
The Supershoes
Sophia loves music, especially singing and playing her violin, ballet and flowers. Super Artist Amanda pulled out all the stops for this very unique and special pair. Sophia said: “I am so incredibly grateful to Supershoes for the beautiful shoes they have given me. I am especially grateful to the amazing artist Amanda who painted my shoes to be even more perfect than I could have ever imagined. Supershoes is a beautiful charity with the most amazing goal.”
Sophia’s Supershoes were sponsored by Talia, whose mum is one of our Super Volunteers.
